If you are looking for professional, sensitive hands-on decluttering, organisation and design consultancy tailored to make your house a home you are in the right place!
I'm Kate and I'm passionate about creating tidy and beautiful living spaces that my clients can use how they wish, relax in and enjoy. With a doctorate in the arts, which led me to work in galleries and museums, and over 10 years' experience managing creative projects, I bring a keen eye and practical approach to every project. I launched Kate makes a home inspired by my own experiences of organising a busy household as a housewife and mum to two young children, sorting a loved one's belongings following a bereavement and moving home.

I have helped parents to organize their childrens' bedrooms and playrooms, taming the chaos and making tidying and cleaning easy; to rezone and layout their living rooms and bedrooms as adult sanctuaries; and to organise their kitchens and entrance ways to ensure everything has a logical place and make meal-times and transitions into and out of the home stress free.
I have assisted retired/semi-retired clients in decluttering so that they can downsize their home or relieve the burden of leaving a large quantity of belongings for their children to sort through.
